Jordan goes from XEDE to TTP'd in 12 seconds or less!

Jordan was referred to us by one of Florida's many Mitsubishi dealerships. Over the years TTP-Engineering has grown to be one of the most respected and trusted experts in the Lancer Evolution 2001-2010+. Dealerships in the Southeast USA both refer us new Lancer Evolution buyers who would like to upgrade their cars as well as bring us Evo's of their own through trade ins and auctions so we can consult with them about what the car is equipped with, what will and will not meet Federal and State emissions standards and what we can do with the factory ECU to get the car back into safe, reliable, saleable condition. A few Orlando dealerships also send in their "new hire" salespeople to come see what we do and learn more about the products they are selling to prospective buyers.

Jordan picked up his 2003 Lancer Evolution GSR complete with turbo-back exhaust system, K&N drop in filter, boost line restrictor pill and an old ChipTorque XEDE piggyback ECU. His plan was to bring it by, have us tell him what he has done to it and then tune as needed. One of the first things we did was pull open the glovebox and check the ecu wiring. What we found was an XEDE piggyback. We advised him that the unit was outdated technology and we removed it for him, reverting back to factory ECU. From there we went to the dyno and baselined in at 278whp/275tq @ 1.00%CF uncorrected dyno numbers. This is were we were surprised to see the boost not tapering off like stock and realized there was a bleeder or pill inline to the boost control solenoid, which changed the boost mapping dramatically. With a few changes and tweaks, we were able to program a more conservative tune with less ignition timing, safer with more power. Final numbers climbed to 315whp/308tq @ 1.00%CF uncorrected dyno numbers while retaining factory BCS and not using a manual or 3 port boost solenoid which would have improved numbers.
